Hi. I am a new member. I found this forum when I googled: "homebased data entry real or fake?"

I was about to sign up with one of them (the internet work-from-home) that require us to pay in advance to get the training package. It was the data entry/ typist job type.
But my gut told me to do some research first. Then I stumbled accross this forum.

Now I know that there are a lot more homebased-work scams than I thought before..
My question is: Are there any REAL homebased data entry job out there????
Or it's all fake.
How to recognize the REAL one?

The website that they gave me was this:
http://www.interdatamanagement.net/default.asp
Has anyone heard about them before?

Thank you,
--VK

Avoid 12daily Pro. Like all these pay-in-to-get-paid autosurfs it's a Ponzi scam that's about to fold, i.e. if you pay in now you'll lose your money.

I beg to differ with you! I am currently a member of 12DailyPro....I have been a member from the beginning (May or so) I have made all totaled up right at $2,000. They pay Exactally on time Every time. I've spoke with the owner via email several times. She is Honest and has put togeather a Very Good PTS site.
The Other side of the coin is: as with ALL Internet companys, you Never KNOW when they might fold. But Knowing what I Know and have Experienced with 12DailyPro....IF she's going to close it down she would do it honorably.

A "JOB" where you have to pay to get information or "sign up" for a membership is not a JOB . . . it is a MLM or a networking scheme. Some people may make money from them, but most people will not.

Also, besided the sign up or membership fees, you can tell that a company is a networking scheme when the information by others who have joined it are always the same . . . they just go and copy/paste the same information to hundreds of different sites a day hoping for someone to sign up under them.

Another sign of a networking scheme is when no one can clearly tell you what the company sells or what it's service is. If you "sign up" to be an Avon rep, at least you know from the moment you start looking into it that you will be selling make-up to others . . . if the company does more talking about how easy it is to make money and how much they make per day than their product, don't do it!

I myself had joined some data entry job sites but dropped them although I had to lose my joining amount. The work is very hard. They ask you to post ads to 100-120 classified sites, copy the ads onto a word document, and send it as proof of postimg. For so much work you are paid 10-15 dollars. Of course you are paid more if someone joins through your ad. So even if a data entry job site is not a scam you end up woking for peanuts.
My advise to everyone is don't join any of these data entry job sites. If you can really post ads join affiliate programs like clickbank where you make upto 75% commission on products sold through you link. But then, this also requires some skill.

Internet advancement is offering a homebased research job, is it for real?

Quite a few companies now offer Data Entry programs where you can supposedly work from home, enter data, and collect checks. Many of these companies claim you can earn thousands a day by simply doing nothing more than spend a few minutes typing. So is it true?

I have looked at some of these programs, and they basically work the following way.

1.You sign up for an affiliate site like Clickbank, which gives you the ability to promote hundreds of products and receive a commission check for the sales you generate.

2.You write ads for these products, and place these ads on the Google or Yahoo network. Who pays to have these ads placed? You do.

3.If people click your ads and make purchases, you get paid your commissions.

Most data entry opportunities are not really about data entry, but about writing online ads. If you can do this well you are probably already making money. While it is possible to make money using this method, it is also much more difficult than it seems, and not just a simple matter of typing or entering data.

To be honest, no, most of them are scams. If you want to work from home and do real data entry, I'd say your safest bet is to try something like http://www.guru.com.. Guru is a job board where employers outsource projects and sometimes companies are looking for data entry or transcription work. But it is going to be a real job from home, not a get rich be your own boss deal. I wish you luck with your search though.

I don't personally know of any legitimate online data entry opportunities - but I've been doing offline data entry for local customers since 1994.

It was ingenius when some of these companies started calling their opportunity "data entry". Entering Adwords ads or re-creating a website is really internet marketing, and requires more skills than basic typing.

I've read a lot of people's advice that if you have to 'pay' for a data entry opportunity - you should probably avoid it. This is unfortunately true because there are so many bad apples. However, there are ethical business people selling real opportunities - and they should be paid for their valuable information, experience, and expenses. It's nearly impossible to tell honest from dishonest anymore - that's the problem.

I believe that we all have skills and talents that can make a difference; that somebody else wants or needs; that people are willing to pay for. If you have any entrepreneurial spirit whatsoever, consider working for yourself instead of a "work at home" opportunity. Spend your time researching what you can do for others locally or online.

One gal I know, a Christian mother of 5 who home schools, needed to help with the family finances. One of her talents is sewing. She posted one of her prairie dresses on ebay a little over a year ago, and $10,000 later, she's still taking orders. Another gal offers scrapbooking consults and services. Her most recent customer was a stressed out mother trying to get her son's scrapbook done in time for his wedding. Yet another gal, a widowed grandmother actually, started her own cookie business catering to local businesses and special events. No fancy packaging, very inexpensive marketing - just yummy cookies and great customer service.

I have mentored many stay-at-home moms in the start up of their own home businesses. Part time or full time - it doesn't matter. Make a list of your talents and skills, ask others who are close to you, scope out ebay, research "home business ideas".

It's easier than you think to work for yourself - and so much more fulfilling.

Best wishes,

Michelle

It seems like this one is different. But it could be a new kind of way to get people to sign up. It seems not to involve any ad placing of any kind. I hope someone can help me out with this one.

I am going to guess that it is a typical MLM scam.
