Hi,

Looking on the internet for some laptop deals and came across this website:

http://www.free-shipping-store.com/

They only accept Money Gram payments so my alarm bells started ringing. They claim to have a contract with the airport police to sell off illegally shipped goods that have been confiscated (hence discounted price) and have been trading since 2002. Just wondered if anyone else has heard of them. I'm suspicious. I still go by the adage "If its too good to be true, then you'll probably being screwed!"

It probably is a scam. I'm trying to contact them now, and will let you know what I find out.

Currently, I was able to determine that their site has been registered on Oct. 6th 2005. Hardly 2002, if you ask me.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Cheers for looking into this Wagamama.

Thought it might be a scam especially as a company which claims to ship 50-100 orders a day and can't accept credit cards sounds fishy to me.

I'm not sure how to go about finding out the truth of these type of sites and I appreciate the help.

I mailed them, and I'm going to check where they send their mails from. Then I'm going to use readnotify.com on them. My guess is they're not in Spain.

BTW: If I were you, the mere fact they're saying 'since 2002' and their domain was registered 2005, would be enough to not buy from them.

Their mail headers point to the UK, while the company is supposedly in Spain. Fishy, at best.

Sorry, but that's not gonna happen (I mean their being legit)... Please read my post. They're operating from Romania; A world leader in internet fraud.
During the last few weeks, I've seen at least a dozen of those sites. Some better looking than others, but the bottom line is, as always:

"If it seems too good to be true, you're probably about to be screwed". Pardon my French, but that's the effective way of saying that. As someone said on another forum, "This is the equivalent of buying from someone who's standing in the corner of a street with a suitcase, and says 'give me the money now, and I'll get you the goods in a few days time'". Would you go for that kind of deal?
