Victor Vurpillat Initial Fraud Case Closed :D
2010 Obstruction of Justice Case - Guilty Plea
He must be one of the few people arrogant enough to continue a ponzi scheme after pleading guilty
I wonder what Victors supporters think of him now?

If you doubt this post, look at the link

Who posted this? Do you have first hand knowledge, or how can this be verified? Knowing Victor, this sure doesn't sound like him. Anyone?

I agree with the last post: I have known Victor for over twenty years. He is not the crook this post claims him to be. Whoever wrote this should be ashamed of themselves. I hope that no one who reads this will actually take these claims as legit.

Many people running scams and cons will use the names of others . . . that could be the case here . . . someone pretending to be Victor Vurpillat solicited money, in which case the real Victor Vurpillat is a victim of ID theft.

Judging from this US Court document, I don't think this is a case of mistaken identity.

I have known Victor since I was a kid. Many of us know where his heart really was and his true intent. The money will be replaced because this unfortunate situation was not a result of greed. Do you want to find truth or just spin a story to make yourself right. Case closed... for real.

Again, the intent was not greed. You cannot imprision a free and true spirit. The facts remain that he loved his wife, children and inlaws more than words can say. Minimum security camp with one guard to 150 people is a waste of tax dollars when the person just needs 3 years to correct the situation. This man will come back better than ever. :D

It is a sad comment on our society when one rejoices over anothers mistakes. There is always more to the story. Kohlbergs theory of moral and ethical development states that 80% of our society is fixated in the "conventional stage" of moral and ethical development- the ability of a 2 year old (i.e. seeing things as black and white). While there is value and truth to this, as adults one hopes that we are able to take into account the shades of gray. That is NOT to say a person is not accountable for their actions BECAUSE THEY ARE. However, it would be nice to see an evolution from the conventional stage to an area of humility where we see eachother as human beings that are willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. It is not in the mistake, but how they choose to correct the mistake that counts.

To anyone that still believes in Victor, put your money where you mouth is. Loan Victor the money to pay back the Victims. I bet they would even accept less than what they lost, because they know Victor will never pay back what he stole. By the way, it is black and white. He lied, people trusted him, he stole a million dollars, and is now in prison. It is not like he stole a loaf of bread to feed his starving family. I attached a print screen from the criminal complaint, which is a public record.

While this board has been dead for some time, and logic tells me that perhaps I should leave it alone, after reading some of the replies from you people who have absolutely no idea what you are talking about, I knew I had to make a post to ensure that this criminal doesn't get off as easy as he has been thus far.

I have intimate knowledge of each and every thing Victor has done because I am one of those who was wronged by him. I'm really happy for those of you who think he's some great guy with a good heart because he was nice as a child or you shared good times with him in high school. The reality is that Victor's own greed and insecurity is what led to all of the wrongdoing he did. Nobody ever asked anything out of Victor other than that he be a good father and a good human being. Unfortunately, that was not enough for Victor.

Victor's own insecurity is what led him to feel like he had to attain more. After early failures, he couldn't just do as others had done and go get himself a job; instead, he had to continue with this charade that he is a master entrepreneur, portraying himself online and to those around him as some genius financial guru. In reality, his own arrogance led him to make the same mistakes he had been cautioned about. In attempting to cover his tracks, much like Nick Leeson in Rogue Trader (a movie that Victor's "mentor" told him to watch consistently to ensure that he always knew what could happen...how do I know that? I know that because those are the exact words Victor told me when he screened that movie for me and we watched it together at the family home), Victor lied and coerced others into believing in his lies and the life he was portraying so that they would give more to him.

All of the above are facts, not opinions, and not statements by some outsiders who have no knowledge of what took place. You people should be ashamed of yourselves, talking about how he wanted to do right for "his" (MY!) family; the truth is that Victor did this all for himself. He did everything that he did in order to maintain this imaginary worldview of himself. He was the guy cutting out his picture and putting it on the cover of Trader magazine, imagining the days when he would have a helicopter and private plane and houses all over the world. His own delusions of grandeur led to this. Rather than talk about how nice he is and what a great heart he has, maybe you should consider the implications of what he has done. Maybe you should consider what his (MY!) family had to do in the aftermath.

Unless you personally "invested" (I use that term lightly since none of this was about an investment...unless yours was an altruistic investment whose dividends came in the form of you seeing Victor smile as he spent the money he stole from you) money with Victor and somehow came away clean, you have absolutely no right and no business posting anything remotely good about him on a website dedicated to those who were wronged by him.

Should any of you choose to want to continue this discussion and really find out more details, and/or if you are still certain that he is a "good guy" because you guys played high school football together (or the like), feel free to message me.
