Hello. So, thru a job offer I was scammed (sort of I guess), of course via craiglist. As of right now they have my name, cell # and my primary e-mail address. Is there any precautions, since I was dumb enough not to in the first place, that I should take now? Or am I still safe considering what information of mine they have? Thank you in advance for any help and I am glad I found this site. Been very helpful.

If that's all you gave them then you should be ok... however you may want to get your cell number changed if they start calling or you start getting strange call from people you don't know who claim to be your bank rep or anyone looking for any kind of personal information. (Of course don't give them any, just hang up and get your number changed).

TX ximora for the information. And yes, it started. Received this text last night:
FRM: SunEast
MSG: Sun East Alert
Please contact us at (888) 396-4114 thank you.

Did a search and found that this scam is being done through a real Federal Credit Union in California. I forwarded it to the bank.
Is there an existing section where I could put this info for everyone else?

Where you just posted it is fine... Google and the others will still pick it up in a search...

Since you are receiving these text messages you may want to consider getting your number changed... that way you can put it behind you and move on.

Yes, you're right and probably will. Just hate to fold to these jerks. I appreciate your help and insight. Thanks again.
