Subject: Payment and pick-up information

Hello ,
Good news,I have spoken to my client and he has instructed me to inform
you that payment will get to you in a cashier cheque of $5,500 which is
a refund payment of a cancelled order earlier made by my client.
Due to company policy this check has to be made out in this amount to you, because company policy only allows a refund payment on one cashier cheque, so you are required to deduct cost of your car $2,500 when payment gets to you and refund balance $3,000 to my clients shippers via western union money transfer for them to be able to offset shipping charges .
After payment has reached you and balance sent back to him, our agent
will come for pick-up and drive to a prepaid shipper to be
shipped to my customer, while title papers and other necessary documents
will be either collected from you at the point of pick-up or sent via
fedex courier to my customer.
Confirm this and provide
1)Name (cheque will be made payable to),
2)Address ( the check will be delivered to) and Phone number for check
payment to be delivered to you via registered mail.
Thanks,
Jack.

NB.
Please stop all correspondence with any intending buyer,as the car should be considered sold.

I received the same e-mail, word-for-word, as icywinds4 posted. At first I didn't think anything of it so I answered his questions.

I got the following reply. As soon as he mentioned a 3rd party client and I realized a different area code I knew this was all wrong. Jackass.

Hello DXXX,

Thanks for your mail.I forwarded the pics you sent to me to my client how said the pics is great.my client said he will send his shipping agent to come for inspection of the car so he will call you for inspection. What is your frim price? My client said the payment is go to be credit card to my Bank or Bank Draft.

Have a nice day.

Hi folks, I'm a baiter who lurks out here. Just a head's up, the "206" numbers you trace to Seattle are not cell phones, they are free "K7" accounts. Take 2 minutes to get one, it is a free voice mail and fax recieving services.

"Area code 206 is a telephone dialing code in Washington for Seattle, Mercer Island and the islands of Bainbridge and Vashon, and portions of the Seattle metro area from Des Moines to Woodway.

At inception, area code 206 served all of Washington state. In 1957, Eastern Washington was split as area code 509.

In 1995, 206 was split again, limited to the Seattle metro and Puget Sound area, with the remainder of Western Washington assigned area code 360. Then in 1997, 206 was again split, limited to its current territory; the Eastside and northern suburbs assigned area code 425 and the southern suburbs and Tacoma metro area to area code 253.
