I have seen them ask the hotel to buy laptops and make reservations for their "guests" with the the money from the counterfeit check. They then say they have to cancel and have the hotel send out the laptops before the checks are returned against the hotel's account. Sneaky folks........................

I have had them ask for me to buy cell phones, and also have had them provide me with credit card numbers to prepay for rooms. There are usually two credit card numbers provided and I am suppose to divide the amount in half to be charged. They even provide the three digit secruity number on the back of the card. At present I have two cashiers checks one for 15K the other for about 6K that I know are bogus but had fun baiting them.

I am not sure baiting them is very smart, break off communication.

Baiting is not to ever be taken lightly. You cannot bait anyone who has any real time information on you. Run don't walk from this one
