I got a phone call from someone saying he was representing a company called Russell Acquisition Group. He was offering to buy worthless shares in Delivery Technology Solutions for $6.95. All I have to do is pay $6000, which will be refunded, to have restricted stock legend removed. There is a cheque for $88,000 with my name on it waiting to be posted to my address. Has Christmas come early?

Not only will you be out the $6,000 if you send it, you will also be in more trouble than you may want to deal with if you cash that $88,000 check.

Thanks for taking the time to post this. Scammers are now reaching out and touching someone via telephone calls.

I just had this company back on the phone giving me a number to contact someone in my area who they've dealt with on the same shares. Will this be another person in on the con?

Wow they do not give up easily do they? One thing you can do is if they call again get as much information as you can from them. Telephone number, name of company, address and any other thing you can think of. Then call your locate police department and ask to talk with someone in the fraud department. Give the information you have to the person you talk with. Let them know you realize they can not really do anything but that you just wanted to let them know in case there is a lot of people being called. If your area is like mine they will contact the media and have them get the word out about the scam if they receive a lot of calls.
