[color=#00BF00]I received an actual wrote out check for $3,850.... The banks name on the check is Wells Fargo, I called them to see if it was an open and active account and they said yes but they can't tell me if the account has enough founds in it to cash the check.... At the top of the check where the address goes it says:

FELTON S DIXON
POD DENA THOMAS
PO BOX 9031
BACLIFF, TX 77518-9031

I also attached an image at the bottom so you can see what the check looks like....has anyone seen this before??? when I spoke to the lady at Wells Fargo she told me that since it is an open and active account that I need to go to the bank that issued the check (Wells Fargo) and cash the check there and if there aren't enough funds to cover it they wont cash it.... I thought to cash a check I had to have a bank account with a bank.... Should I try this? I mean if the bank says the funds are in there and cash it and I don't have a bank account with them and something comes back on the check later can I still get into trouble??Or can I even get into trouble since the bank on the check cashed it for me??? Please help, I don't want to get involved in a scam.....

Are you "expecting" this check from this person for this amount? If not chances are it's "counterfeit" and if you go to that bank and try to cash a counterfeit check you could be "arrested" for being a part of it!!! Do you want to take that chance??? Tear it up, throw it away and move on is my advice to you.
