Hello anyone,

I was on craig's list wanting to purchase a pop-trailer and came across an add. I emailed the seller as there was no phone number or cantact information. The next day I got his reply and thought it was a little supicious. Can anyone tell me what they think of it. This is what the email read Thank you for your email:
I still have it for sale but before i answer to any of your questions i want to inform you that i can't handle this tranasction the old fashioned way because i travel a lot with business and can't do this by my self. However, i will use Craig's Trader to handle th transaction for me. I know alot of people that don`t know about Craigs Trader so if you are still interested and don`t know about this service let me know and i`ll fill you in with the rest of the details.

The website that "Marvin" wants to use is craigstrader.com

It looks pretty suspicious to me...I'll have to check some things first though, before I know for sure. I would avoid it for the time being.

This must be a scam. Someone attempting to buy a Hammond organ got the exact same message in response:

"Thank you for your email. I still have it for sale but I will not meet you
to make a face to face transaction because I travel alot with business so I
will use Craigs Trader to handle the transaction for me. I know alot of
people that don't know about Craigs Trader so if you are still interested
and don't know about this service let me know and I'll fill you in with the
rest of the details.

Thanks to the both of you for all your help. I will definately avoid this person and I hope that nobody falls victim to this fraud.

SOUNDS LIKE A SCAM ALREADY, ALL THE SAME I EMAILED HIM AND SAID I WAS STILL INTERESTED AND THAT HE SHOULD CALL ME SO THAT I COULD TAKE A LOOK AT IT. HE REPLIED:

They will contact you by email so if you have other email accounts please forward them to me because i want to be sure that they send you the invoice in time.

DON'T GET SCAMED!

The best thing to do at this point is to delete his emails, and block his address. If you've sent him your phone number he may try calling you. Stick to your guns and ignore the calls. He will soon stop bothering you. He can't do much damage with his site in its current state...Photobucket yanked all the images.

...and now his site is as dangerous as a teddy bear. The host has now removed it.

another scammer site bites the dust . . . that is such a good feeling
