I recently met a very nice saleswoman online, she is offering ipods at a great price. she gave me her ceritificate of registration for ohio taxes. It is account number 90015561. Does anyone know how I can verify this?she also gave me her ebay id (member for 4 years) and her paypal address (verified for over 2 years). Do you think there is any risk in going through with this transaction?

I would ask for the following information- County that she conducts business in as well as call the state to verify that the tax ID number matches the information for contact that you have from the seller. If this person is in the USA and really wants to sell the ipod they should not mind making a short long distance call to the potential buyer either.

Read the comments other buyers have made,pay particular attention to any comments that would be negative in nature especially about not getting what they ordered or not getting what they ordered.

Contact other past buyers through ebay and ask how they would rank the seller as far as honesty and reliability.
