Hi guys...
Well I run a major radio network and after posting my website details looking for investors I got this mail. Even though I was well aware of all the scams that come along, I somehow didn't see this one coming. Went along and made a business plan to send to them (costing me 4000 USD) but good thing is that I am looking at it positively and now have a great business plan in my hands.

I spoke to this guy a few times, and I really started wondering about his credibility when he replied back to my 50 page business plan in 10 minutes without even a single question. :P I really wanna scambait him for one of my shows ... :) And yes I did contact the Dubai Sheikh to confirm, which obviously he didn't know anything about.

Yes now for the letter.. This is what I got..

Thanks for your prompt response. After several consultations and discussions, I have decided to provide the Facility to fund your project because of its lucrative and secured nature provided you can guarantee the security of my investment capital in your offer.

I have studied your email and request, and have come to a conclusion to invest in your project but first I have some comments and modalities we will have to follow to make this venture a successful one as time is of essence to us all.

First, I run a family business and will not want any of my family members to be aware of my intention to invest outside family business venture. Secondly, your presence will be required for proper signing of all contract documents and fund handover

Forward a copy of the business proposal to Dr. Abdul Hasan My foreign investment advisor (PA) for a proper study and we shall get back to you with a funding Modalities/working agreement.

I am interested in this deal but for security reasons, I will not like to be directly involved. Please contact my foreign investment adviser in London, U.K Forward a copy of the business proposal and arrange for a formal meeting and funding modalities. You can contact him with the following:

Name: Dr. Abdul Hasan.

(Financial Consultant)

Phone:+ 447031888710, +448704958995.

Fax: +442030311276

Email: info@abdulhassanconsultant.com

Endeavour to update me with your agreement with him.

If you have a radio network I say use it as a way to educate people about these scams! Do a segment on it! Let me know if you want any info from us about these scams, or the work we have been doing here over the years to try and warn people.

Yes I did do a few shows on phishing and other related issues. But I guess this scam industry is so big that I feel that the Internet Service Providers should hand out with their contracts with their new users, something that tells them that "Dear user, you might be conned when you use the email for the first time.. this and that is what you should watch out for."

I mean how hard would it be for them to start educating their members the moment they join. Because as you have been adding amazing info here on this site as I can see, I am sure not a lot people will see it until they start searching for help when they get conned.

And yes I will be doing a show on this and was even thinking of doing a proper Scambaiting of the guy who mailed me. Feel that's the least we can do for the community by messing the minds of those that mess with others.

Would be nice to get some info over what you think people really need to be aware of. :) Will give credit and if required might get you on air too :)

I could not agree with you more . . . it would be easy for some many businesses to add a disclaimer to their welcome emails that warns people about these scams. I also agree that many people do not find our site until it is too late for them. I have been working over the years to try and get more information out there to warn people before they become victims, but there is just so much one woman can do. I do feel that the media has been wonderful in helping to educate people. With each time there is an article run or a segment on the news, more and more people find out about the way the scams work, and learn the warning signs.

If you are going to bait this guy, you might want to check out 419eater.com . . . it is a great site that teaches people to bait, and how to do it safe.

I would be more than happy to speak with you on what I feel people really need to be aware of. My big thing right now is the banking terms, and how they do not always mean what you think they do. I did a blog on the topic here
http://scamvictimsunited.wordpress.com/ ... k-they-do/

Feel free to PM or email me and we can talk more!
