Yesterday I sent a Western Union to someone in Tallahassee and did a survey on the store. I'm pretty sure i was scammed because yesterday AFTER I did the transaction, I looked it up online and found a lot of reports on the supposed company. I was totally sketched about the whole thing while the check was sitting in my account, but then the check CLEARED!!! So I assumed it was legit. Anyway, I just don't know what to do. If someone could inform me on what steps to take that'd be awesome.
FYI: He's even been texting me.

Hi omgitskasey. Sorry to read you were scammed. The banking term "cleared" is very misleading. In order for a check to be good it needs to be "Honored". You may also want to contact a lawyer in case the bank presses charges against you for cashing a fake check. Under NO circumstances should you talk with anyone at the bank or the police without a lawyer. They can and will take what you say and turn it around then use it against you. Somewhere on this site is a list of banking terms. I just can not remember where. Also I edited your post and removed your name. Never post any real information about yourself anywhere on the web. Once it is out there is is there forever.

Best of luck to you.
