I would NOT recommend South of the River Music to anyone looking for any type of music lessons in the Minnesota.

Contact info

While the teachers with South of the River Music are wonderful, and it is great that they come to your home for the lessons, dealing with the office staff at South of the River Music can prove to be quite troublesome. If you get a billing error, prepare for the run around and to not have your calls returned, and having to watch your credit card to verify that the error was resolved.

In my opinion, it would be better to get your lessons from another business.

I have had several poor experiences with this company, and would like to bring it to the attention of those who would be looking into lessons with Music At Your Doorstep that this is the same company, with a different name.

If you are in the Dallas, Chicago, Baltimore, Boston, New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, or Washington D.C. area they have operations in these regions, and while I have not dealt with these branches directly, I would exercise extreme caution in getting involved with them because they are under the same ownership.

Their contact info is:

I was unable to find the email address for these branches, however I would assume considering the website layout is the same as that used in their South of the River Music, it would seem reasonable the email format would be visually similar to that used with the South of the River Music branding.

Thanks for the info . . . I had no idea that South of the River Music also operated the Music At Your Doorstep site/business. I checked out the website, and they are exactly the same.

Dealing with them was a HUGE headache . . . and again, it is the business and office staff that is the problem/issue, not the teachers . . . the teacher we have dealt with is prompt, professional and friendly.
