Okay . . . from what I can tell, the posters received emails from the email address that was listed that you said was not yours, they were scammed by THOSE people, and then once they were scammed they searched your site out and that is how they became in contact with you directly.

Again, the scammers have used your site's name in their scams. Your site may be a legit site, but the scammers have used it in their scams and that is how it got posted here.

Actually, this will not help you. Most of these checks will fool a bank teller or even a bank manager. What you need to do is call the bank that is listed on the check as the bank of issue . . . look up the number yourself . . . don't just call the number listed on the check. Ask THAT bank to verify that the account is good and that there are funds to cover the check.

I also just received an email from someone claiming to be with PremiumArts - James Ferdiand was the name used this time. I responded to an ad on craigslist - and got the same type of email that others received. When I googled them your site came up - so thank you, thank you!

Below is the email I received from them on September 23rd, 2008. The first thing I noticed was that I did not repond to their ad through Craigslist like they mentioned. Instead, I found their ad in the NY Times Newspaper on Sunday Spetmber 21st, 2008. I wish I had kept the ad they posted.

What came to my attention with this email:

1) Why do they need my banks name? Also if you are a legitimate business, why should I deposit money INTO MY BANK? They should have their own bank.

2) Most of the things they are asking for is listed on my resume. Asking for your marrital status and gender is completely ridiculous.

What came to my attention in this email:

1) Why would I need to buy these things? They should be provided.

2) Some grammatical errors in the way these email was typed. Noticed that the email did not end with a legitimate name, business address and phone number.

That is when I decided to look this company up. I always check with the better business bureau before I commit to a company. If nothing comes up in the better business bureau, my mom told me to always google the company instead.

I am grateful that I came upon this website. If there are anymore employment scams, I certainly know where to come.

Christine, u do not sell art to the US?? I love your stuff!!! How can I get some??? New yorkers wold loooovve those pieces. You really should expand.
