I hope I am in the right section...........
Anyone ever hear of this company http://www.ElectroForLess.com

I am looking at a TV from them that is a really great price.... I emailed the company about it and to see how they can sell this TV at such a sweet price....
this is what he wrote back....

Hello,

All the products listed on our website, including the item you are interested in, are genuine, brand new, factory sealed, have full manufacturer warranty and come with all standard accessories as a regular retail product in the stores.
Our business is concentrated on profit from quantity not high prices. Furthermore our company is registered in an off-shore country. We do not pay most of the taxes. That's why our prices are so low.

Best Regards,
David Collins

You may want to check out their ratings on this site, it may just save you some grief:

My second concern is they only take Western Union???

In my opinion this is not a company I would trust or deal with.

The only payment methids they accept are Western Union or Moneygram - it's a scam. For what it's worth, here's what they claim their contact details are:

Sales Fax: (646) 619-4285
Customer Service: (800) 349-0285

eMail: sales@e4l-encrypted.com

There are many other sites out that mimic this same concept. I'm guessing they are being run by the same people since their information and websites are so similar. For example, greatcouture.com is a scam that is being run by the same people. Their "About Us" page text has been take from yoox.com and the contact information on the bottom uses the same table as electroforless.com...not to mention that the billing information is the same. Be careful out there!!

Hi,

I wanted to buy a laptop for my wife and used bizrate. There was a company which sold it for a price several hundred $$ cheaper than others. I went to their website (very professional) and actually ordered it. I got email to pay by Western Union to an Italian address:

Name: Sean Parker
Address: Via Attilio Regolo 19
City: Rome
Country: Italy

This made me suspicious and I started searching. Only the Fax number they provided was successful and showed this thread and another one from ripoff.com by a Google search.

They are using names from established companies but slightly altered, identical websites:
Nancoelectronics.com or electronicsbononza.com

Just one question: Can they do anything bad with my address and phone number? I have a mac with most updated security system for 10.4. But can they put spyware on or find out my activities when I order?

Thanks for this thread and this website and have a happy holidays. :P
