I was personally defrauded by Diop Kamau of The Police Complaint Center in Washington DC at on March 2008 to November 2008. He promised services by email and sent me emails stating that he performed services but when I checked the local agencies that he was supposed to render service, they told me there is nothing done on my behalf by Diop Kamau of The Police Complaint Center. When I reported this fraud on, he could not rebut my complaint with credible evidence so instead he elected to act in an immature and unprofessional manner by making a personal attack upon me. I paid him $2844.00 and he charged me via an electronic banking device that has been since disabled. He also charged me $600.00 for an old beat up glued together camera that was mailed to me defective.

If you have to deal with this company, my recommendations based on my opinion, is that you keep what information you give to Kamau to a minimal, because if he defrauds you, he will not have any information to use to try to stop you from complaining about his fraudulent business practices, if in fact he defrauds you. Get everything in writing. Request for receipts for everything. Do not make any online transactions for payment. Send a traceable check or money order. Make sure he puts in writing exactly the services that he will perform. If you can buy your own surveyllance equipment you are better off. Make sure you check the FTC, BBB, and DC Attorney General to find out the Company's track record with former clients.

In my experience, I was lied to by Diop Kamau and his attorney and some of the staff were evasive when I would ask relevant investigation questions. In the end, they did not provide me with a statement of billing and accounting and the results of their investigative search. They did not comply with their online policy. They did not process my online refund request, they posted personal and confidential information on their website without my consent and approval, such as my intellectual property and other information, in a defamatory manner in retaliation for reporting fraud to If this was not enough, he also secretly recorded my phone conversation with him without me consent and posted the recorded and manipulated conversation on his website, in which he makes personal threats against me for posting the fraud he subjected me to. Lastly, he posted material that is intended to incite criminal organizations against me to harm me by posting my name address and phone number on his public website and by giving this organization perverse security clearance online.

If you are wise, I would in my opinion, find another private investigator to work with who has good consumer ratings.
