Effective February 7th Stellar Nordia which owns MyIpRleay/Ip-relay.com and myiprelay.com have effectively BLOCKED nearly ALL Nigerian/West African originating scam callers.

While this is a great thing for the world of scam fighting.. unfortunately because these scam calls were a large part of our call volume- the company has had to do some severe lay-offs centerwide.
Currently in the Memphis relay center 200 out of 260 operators are being cut.

That is so sad that so many had to get laid off, but it is wonderful that a company is taking a pro-active step to stopping these scams!

Do you know if there was a press release on this information? I would LOVE to send it to all of my media contacts, and we could also use it to encourage other companies to block service from scammers!

So, from the numbers you provided, 77% of all calls coming through your facility were bogus? I get that number by the fact that 77% of the operators were laid off.

If that is true, then a77% of all IP relay companie's revenue is based in fraud.

A sad statistic.

Looks like some of your jobs are being outsourced as well........
