Watch out for John Kendrich aka J.K. I was just scammed 2500$. He is looking for apartment for rent in Canada , claims he is from the UK. He emailed me saying that his company EXPERT EDGE CORP will send a bank draft on his behalf to secure the apartment. Before I even got the check he tells you about his log sob story of mother dying and that he can no longer come. In the meantime, he advised me that the check that was sent to me also had the funds of his shipper. When I got the check , I put it in the bank and withdrew the portion that belonged to the shipper and sent it Western Union, so he can have his goods shipped on time. I shipped him 2500$ and a few days later, the check came back as a fraud. I just googled his name and found out that it was a fraud. I never thought I would fall for something so stupid but he makes sure to create a relationship with you before he screws you....I even spoke to him several times on the phone. He goes under different names.

Thanks for the heads up on here, I just got the same email yesterday in reply to an advert I posted. Before reading this I was already suspicious, especially since expert IT doesnt even exist.

"Hello,
I am interested in renting your place and here is a little info about
myself. I am Jerome and I am 26 years old. At present I am based in
the UK, but will be relocating to your Province in a couple of weeks
to settle.Consequent to this and in order to make settling in much
easier and quicker I am searching for an accomodation early and I saw
your add on the site and would be very happy if reservation for the
place can be made.I can assure you that you will not have any regrets
letting out this apartment to me as I am a very respectful and matured
individual who values peoples opinions and also loves to be happy and
make people happy( Happiness is a product of making someone happy).I
am calm and collected by nature & I get along much easily with most
people.I will be coming over alone, with no family or pets. I do not
smoke and I drink very lightly. My reason for moving is because I have
a new job offer and the pay is very good. I will be working as a
DataBase Adminstrator on Oracle for Extreme I. T Corp. Please reply me
as soon as you read this email.I ll be waiting to hear from you.
Kindly contact me via email.
Thank you once more
Yours sincerely
Jerome"

And I guess this confirms the scam, it seems his mother has a touch of the flu.

"Hello,
I am happy you responded to my email and I look forward to coming over
to Canada but I can be flexible to your plans.
My employer will be sending you payment for the first month rent.
Also my shipper will be shipping my Honda 2008 model and other
personal effects before I move into your place.I wont be bringing much
over as I intend to buy most afresh there. But my PC will be coming
with me surely & other personal belongings. If this is ok with you,
kindly mail me back your name to make out the payment in & your
address to have it sent to. I will be needing your number so we can
talk.
I will be off to see my sick mum in the hospital who is due for surgery soon.
In case you want to get to me my number is +447024033015(skype i.d is
good.lord2).
I look forward to your response.
Yours Sincerely

Jerome"

My Gosh..it's the exact same email. Afterwards, his mum will die. He will tell you how dependent he was on her 500%. He will then tell you that he needs to move on spiritually. If you give him your number, he will call you.
Please, string him along till the end....and let me know the outcome!!! I wish to get revenge!!!

Kind of funny how we can look at the emails and say "I know what will happen next"

the next one will be that his company will send you money. And by mistake, they will send you more then what you ask for the rent....he will also send you the shippers money. Then he will ask you to send the money to his shipper via Western Union ( which I am sure are scammers too) Have him send you the check....and tell him you will send him the money.....then make him wait anxiously at Western Union for it......string him along as much as you can....and tell me how it all ends......
Good luck, keep me posted!

Best guess is that it is really going back to him, or the same "ring" of people that he is working with.
