Does anyone know why prefer to use Citibank? Is there a vulnerability that Citibank is not aware of? I had one roommate offer that I turned down, and they offered me a job to process their clients receivables checks, deposit them and send the money somewhere else for a 5% commission. Obviously a scam somehow, but I am curious, why did they suggest and prefer using Citibank for the service? I would setup a new Citibank account that would receive bank transfers, wire transfers, or deposits of checks or money orders. My guess is I would be the middleman they are using for the address to send deposits from other scammed people. Buy why Citibank? Anybody have a theory? W |

I have banked with Citibank in the past. I think the main reason is that they have global branches, and they don't always pay attention to their accounts seeing as they have so many. |
