I posted a roommate wanted ad on roommatelocator.com and was inundated with scam emails. All from people that pretended to be American, Canadian or English but not one of them could write one grammatically correct sentence. I sent roommatelocator.com 2 emails making them aware of 2 scammers (that I know of) who posted room wanted ads on their website but to this day they haven't removed them. How irresponsible is that? I'm wondering if that website is operated by those bastards because it's free and you can post your email and phone number on there. Perfect venue for these a..holes to look for their next victim. Is there any way to get this site off the web?

Scammers use the free websites a lot, like Craigslist, because they they don't have to pay to post ads, or pay to view them. That is one of the dangers of the free sites. Report what is happening to the website and maybe they will take down the ads from scammers, but sometimes it is just too much for them to keep up with.
