i got scammed...i need help

Hello,
I just got scammed. I have informed the local police and they are working on it. I just lost a bunch of money. Now, i am an international student in usa. so i was concern if I am in trouble by fbi or secret service. I filed the report with local police today and the scammer is not yet aware of it.

I just not want myself to get into a huge mess since i am an international student. is there anything i need to know.

You did the right thing by reporting it to the police. If you want to give us more details on your story we can offer more advice, but I am going to guess that there will not be any additional trouble for you since you were upfront and gave all of the information to the police.

hello,
i got a call from the scammer asking me when will i be sending money to them. i called the police and gave the information. but to my suprise, they told that no detective is working on my case. they told me that someone will call me back in 20 min. well, it is been more than 36 hrs now and no investigator or detective has called me yet.

i really dont understand why officials are not serious about my case. i am suppose to send money to florida and not outside the country. i believe the officials can do something in this case, but i dont understand is why they havent called me back.

If the scammer tries to contact you again tell them that the check came back as counterfeit and was turned over to the police so you do not have the money to wire to them and that you gave all of the info to the police and that will probably get them to stop contacting you.

i told that all that stuff you said to me. I told that those checks were fake and bank has taken them. also i have informed police about this. they say that it is not true and will hire an attorney and will file a case against me. i will be seeing the detective tomorrow.

I just went through the whole scam thing but I knew what it was when it was coming....its sad to see people going through this. I wish the today show or other shows would do more on this and I am going to work on that. I sent my stuff to the FBI office here in my city and they said they would look into it and I gave my phone number but they have not contacted me. I didnt cash the money orders because I knew they were fake and I also called the bank on the money orders and they said they were not real. So I turned them over to the officials and they will do whatever with them. I want to start a crusade about this because this is aweful.

thank you for your support. I know i was too late and lost my money. I feel that i should try to get all their fake money orders so that they would not cheat more people. atleast by doing this, they will suffer the expenses of making those fake money orders.

dont know what to do next. hopefully they get caught one day.

I have a friend of mine who is in jail now because she got some money orders that she didnt know where fake...im trying to get her out of trouble what can i do??/ we have all the information from the person who " suppose to have sent them " and i dont know where else to turn to PLEASE HELP ME AND HER get out of trouble because of all this
