Here is my story so people can be aware and gather information about this and possibly help me also. This scam was one from roommates.com just like all the others on here. The girl was supposedly from u.k. whos name was supposedly emili frank email: emilifrank@yahoo.com and profile name: emili who is actually still on there trying to scam others after I sent numerous emails to roommates.com about this situation and they have yet to do anything about this. I have thought about building a case against this site since seeing that the people on here have contacted roommates.com and the site is not doing anything for anyone about this and have to be involved with this in some way. I wish I would of found out about this site before I did what I did, but anyway I have learned from this and so will everyone else involved with these similar situations. Basically this emili frank told me she was interested and was gonna ship her furniture here and was gonna send me a check for the deposit and rent and to pay the shippers when her furniture arrived. Well she then told me after I received the check that the shippers needed the money up front and to send it to two different shippers in canada so me being the too nice of a person sent two western union orders to canada at $1700 each. The addresses were legit for western union and were

alian linville
3420 southgate rd
ottawa,on. canada k1v9p9
this address wasn't actually a western union, but 3000 southgate showed up and was some other business.

brian forrest
65 king street east
hamilton,on. canada l8n1a5
this was a western union location

I contacted western union and they suggested I call the canadian phone busters @ 1-888-495-8501 since this person is probrably not from uk and from canada. Also I tried to get info on who picked up the package and from where but was told that was private and also that money sent to canada could be picked up anywhere so it might have been picked up somewhere other than where it was sent.
The number that I was given was
Alfred Johnson
1-905-781-1744
I also seen someone on here had a similiar scam from uk with name
Thomas Johnson
1-905-782-7507
I did some research on the computer and found out that these were
BRAMPTON, ontario canada based #'s and had the same carrier( fido solutions inc) 1-888-481-fido and due to # portability may have been transferred to a new service provider other than the regular carrier which I foud out was(rogers wireless)#1-877-764-3772. I figured these johnson #s probrably match in someway or are actullay the same account or same person. I have thought about calling and seeing if these #s were in fact the same account but haven't yet. I am still trying to get ahold of the canadian crime busters and their message says they are closed for holidays right now. well again if anybody has anymore information about this or if they needed some info just post it on here and hopefully we can get something done about this.
ONE MORE THING. I KNOW THAT I COULDN'T SLEEP OR EAT FOR A WEEK BECAUSE OF THIS AND I FELT LIKE I WAS THE DUMBEST PERSON ON EARTH, BUT GOT TO THINKING THAT REALLY THIS IS THE PRICE I PAY FOR BEING A NICE, CARING, RESPECTFULLY HONEST AND TRUSTING PERSON. WHAT WE ALL DID WAS BAD BUT KNOW WE ARE ALL STILL GOOD PEOPLE. Thanks everybody, aaron
