Post subject: | New here - but encountered 'old' scamer |
Hi everyone: I am new to this site - but I have read about romance scams a few years back when I was contacted by one. Now years later I was contacted again with pictures of the the same person - a little older - but the same. Where can I post this and can someone tell me who the heck this guy is for real - and if someone was able to tell him that his pics are being used. |

Even if you find the real person he can not prevent his pics being used. He can only make it harder to use future pics by putting a watermark on them. |

I think there should be a way to compare pictures if, for nothing else, we can all see if we were scammed by the same person. Or, in my case, because I so want them to get caught. At least my pics match the person I saw on the webcam but that just makes it more sad that I fell for the whole mess. |

OK - here I am again - I asked him to give me some more pics - and here they are. I had been contacted with the same pic some years back as Donnard Williams from the U.K. - the one in the silver tie. Then I found him with other names on the net: Emmanuel Lopez Smith / paul_clarkdowen1@yahoo.com and now I was contacted with a new pic of him as 'Joe' from MySpace - it is listed as Joseph Nichols, and before as Alan. Does anyone know who the real guy is in the pics and if he has been notified - obviously the scammers like his pics and keep using them - maybe he could put a waterseal on them - or something.

No, stay away from him. He might not be part of a big scam but that makes him no less dangerous since he changed his name. Stay strong. That's all we can do. |

Once a person's pic is on the net anyone can steal it. It maybe the same pics but a different scammer. Scammers like to share information. This is the reason why some sites require you to post information of a scammer with others who are using the same pics. It makes it easier to know that a scammer or scammers are using the pic and it is NOT the real person in the pic doing the scamming. |

Thank you everyone! The guy is not asking about money yet - but I know I am not talking to the guy in the pic, because of his grammar errors. Anyway - take note that someone is using the same pics that have been on the net before. I deleted 'him'. Greetings |
