I started an on-line relationship with a gentleman through match.com in June. At the time, his profile was listed under Boise, ID. Within a week, he asked me for my phone number so he could call me from the airport. He was on his way to take his elderly grandmother back to Turkey. In short, our relationship develops so beautifully, I feel that he's my best friend. In a similar progression with other posters here, he took on a project in Nigeria. He is an electrical engineer/project manager working for various contracts under UNICEF. Everything went smoothly, until the day he got an accident during the trip to travel agency to purchase a ticket to visit me. He claimed suffering from internal injury and completely broke, because his apartment had been broken into and the natives took all important documentation and his possessions as ransom. Long story short, I have helped me to get him to the federal capital to work things out with the embassy. He has given me his passport number and his birth place (hospital), mom and dad name to convince me that he's real. He offered to go on webcam through Yahoo Messenger to ease my doubts,. But, he never did. I truly like him and thought we might have a chance to build a relationship that is based on our love for God. He has given me photos of him from childhood, teenage years, and recent photos to show that he's genuine to our relationship. However, I am not convinced. Any input is appreciated. Thank you. PS: I do not have hard feelings against him because I genuinely wanted to help the less fortunate as an act of faith. I gave him the benefit of the doubts. Just a one time thing. As to move forward, I have firmly told him that I could no longer help anyone due to my own obligations to my aging parents. |

Have sent him any money? I would cut off all contact with this person. |

I helped him once when he claimed to be in such a life and death situation. |

I broke off the so called online relationship wih Goodluck last night. I told him that it's a scam and I am done with online dating. I feel so liberated afterward. Hopefully, that's the end of it. |
