Je ne voulais pas y croire mais en le trouvant sur ce site, je suis bien la victime d'une arnaque. Voici mon histoire

J'ai été en relation avec Mark Terriedee alias Mark L Smith via myspace.com en juin 2008 (depuis sa fiche est supprimée)
J'ai été surprise qu'il me contacte. Sur ses photos, "il est beau comme un dieu", limite mannequin (et pour cause, pour les articles que je viens de lire, il a pris l'identité d'un autre) et moi je suis loin d'en être une. Nous avons commencé ensuite une relation par yahoo messenger
J'ai été très méfiante au début. J'ai fait des recherches sur l'annuaire international, sur google (mais sur le nom de Smith et non de Terriedee) et tout ce qu'il me disait était vrai. J'étais également surprise qu'il soit amoureux si vite de moi mais avec des mots doux, on devient vite docile...Bref, le schéma est le même que celui de coco2007. Américain, travaillant dans la construction pétrolière, et partant au Nigéria pour un mois pour son travail. Après quelques semaines de relations romantiques, il m'a demandé de l'argent. Sur le coup, j'ai pensé tout de suite à une arnaque mais il sait très bien y faire et m'a remise en confiance. Je lui ai envoyé cet argent via westernunion. Une fois que j'ai commencé, ses demandes sont devenues incessantes et insistantes mais toujours ponctuées de véritables déclarations d'amours. Il voulait que je lui donne mon adresse personnelle, j'ai refusé mais...je lui ai communiqué celle de ma société. Par bétise, il connait mon nom (elle était dans mon adresse email) et a des photos de moi et a mon numéro de téléphone portable. J'avais l'impression parfois qu'il correspondait avec d'autres personnes car les temps de réponses étaient longs ou il ne répondait pas ou à coté de mes questions. Je lui ai souvent parlé de mes doutes à son sujet, il se mettait en colère et cela me redonnait confiance en lui.
Je lui ai envoyé pour 550 euros (en plusieurs fois) + les fees (bien sur qu'il doit me rembourser quand il viendra me voir en France)
Pour finir son travail au Nigéria, il a besoin de 1500 euros et m'a demandé de contracter un prêt (car je suis modeste et j'ai peu d'argent)...ce que j'ai fait...mais je ne lui ai pas encore envoyé car je n'ai pas encore la réponse de ma banque (et que je ne ferai pas puisque je sais maintenant que je suis arnaquée) et surtout je lui ai demandé, par précaution, une photocopie de son passeport (bien sûr ça lui pose problème).
Réellement mes doutes sur lui se sont arrêtés il y a environ deux semaines car nous sommes devenus très complices (je le croyais sincère) et je m'en rends compte maintenant, car il ne parlait plus d'argent.
Ma dernière conversation avec lui date...d'hier matin... toujours aussi amoureuse et sensuelle...il devait me recontacter hier soir... il ne l'a pas fait mais il sait que je dois avoir la réponse pour mon prêt la semaine prochaine...

et puis aujourd'hui, parce que je m'ennuyais, j'ai refait une recherche sur lui (j'avais surtout envie de ne rien trouver sur lui !!!) mais sur terriedee et non sur smith

Maintenant, quelles peuvent être les conséquences pour moi puisqu'il connait mon nom, mon téléphone, les coordonnées de ma société, des photos de moi... ? Ai-je une chance de récupérer mon argent ? Que dois-je faire ?

Je me sens idiote...pourtant beaucoup de warnings ont clignoté dans ma tête...mais j'avais tellement besoin de compter pour quelqu'un...et j'ai le coeur brisé...

I am so sorry to hear that you have become a victim to this scam. Yes, it does sound like a typical Romance scam, and no there is VERY little chance of you recovering any of the money.

If you first came in contact with this person on a dating site, report them to that site. You could also ask the site to put up a warning about these scams. If the person had a yahoo email address, contact yahoo about it also . . . if they get enough reports about the same email address they will shut it down.
