Dear readers,

I need your advice.
I have read through the vaious posts by people who have been scammed and sadly :( recognise a simillar pattern developing in our correspondence.

We have been communicating for a month but last week she explained that her parents were demanding rent of her and asked if I could help. I was slightly worried so I cabled in less money than she expected and anticipated that she would disappear. She did not and true to her word she texted me confriming she got the money.

I am worried as i don't want to end up losing more than my feelings. However, a number of things have happened which makes me think she is genuine - so I leave it for you to decide.

1) Anger:
Recently because her English is not good and she has being misunderstanding my messages, she has occassionally lost her temper but only mildy.

2) Jealousy:
Last week I was talking to her about a woman who treid to hit on me, and who sense in her tone that she was jealous.

3) Although I am the one making 100% of the calls, she is still answering.

I am so confused how do I know whether she is for real?

This is definately a scammer. Cease all contact and move on with your life. Trust me, she'll come up with another excuse for more money! Don't waste your time.

It is pretty easy to spot and trace there emails.

Take a look at the header and get the IP address and you can trace it.

Got to http://www.dnsstuff.com/

And do a Whois. You will find either a Lagos Nigeria or Ghana.

If you need more help, there are several other Blogs that have a lot of help. One of them is Internet Love Scams just google it.

They can figure it out in minutes for you.

Listen to the little voice!! Cut off all contact, mark all emails as SPAM and block the phone number. Also report to any credit reporting agency about possible fraud alerts.

Good luck. You are not alone. I got nailed pretty good too :-(
