There was a scammer that got a hold of somebody else's ebay account and they tried to pull a scam on me. It was obvious that it was a scam but I played along to see what the money order would look like.

He sent me a few e-mails but this one is the highlight with his wife dying of cancer. Funny how he would trust the well being of his wife to a total stranger.

I want you to take it straight to your BANK and get it deposited in your account and as soon as it clears into you account, deduct your item fee and wired the remaining balance to the information below because my wife need an urgent attention at the hospital where she is presently dieing of CANCER of the breast,and i need fund to settle her hospital bills .
please kindly be honesty to keep me updated and follow the instruction in this email for the safety of my wife's life.

You can easily tell it was printed on an InkJet Printer which of course is a dead giveaway.

The color is all wrong, obvious counterfeit

Maybe to you, but I would have no idea what the color is supposed to be, so I would not have questioned the money order just from looking at it.

This week, I found $2000 in Fake Amercian Express checks that were cashed, I contacted the woman before she sent the money out, I got one fake $2950 check that was cashed, contacted the customer before he wired the money out. And found $15000 worth of counterfeits that had been deposited and no holds placed, put holds on the money to prevent a loss.


Experience helps out a lot.
