[olor=red][/color]I AM AFRAID I HAVE BECOME A VICTIM OF A FRAUD...I ANSWERED A "WORK AT HOME" AD THROUGH A CAREER SEARCH SITE. IT WAS FOR RECEIVING MONEY ORDERS, TAKING TO BANK AND CASHING,KEEPING 10%, AND FORWARDING BALANCE TO ADDRESS(ES) SENT TO ME. AFTER I RECEIVED THE MO FOR 4500.50 AND TRYING TO DEPOSIT IN BANK ACCOUNT, MY BANK WOULDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT, I RESEACHED ON INTERNET, AND CALLED # ON BACK TO VERIFY, WHICH TOLD ME THE MO WAS O.K, THEN ASKED FOR LOCATION AS TO WHERE I COULD CASH... WAS GIVEN A TRAVEL AGENCY WHICH DEALT WITH AMERICAN EXPRESS INTERNATIONAL MO'S, BUT I AM AFRAID TO TAKE IT THERE. WOULD I BE IN TROUBLE FOR JUST TRYING TO CASH THE THING? EVEN IF IT WAS CASHED, AND I FORWARDED THE BALANCE, (AFTER THE MO CLEARED) WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES AFTER? PLEASE REPLY! AM I IN TROUBLE FOR EVEN HAVING THE THING IN MY POSSESSION? WHAT SHOULD I DO/NOT DO? THANKS, RALBEE |

If they are counterfeit, and they more than likely are, you could be arrested for trying to negotiate the money orders. |

Tear them up and throw them away, and do not do any more buisness with the place that "hired" you for this "job. If you answered an ad on a site, you could report the entire thing to the main site and they may take down the ad. It is starting to feel a little "lonely" around here. The traffic is not what it used to be. I am just hoping that people are busy with other things right now and will come back soon . . . I mean WHY would you NOT want to hang out with such a great group of people!
