Post subject:  advice for a "first timer"

OK...I had sortof attempted this with the sticky about bank alerts and it turned into a regular topic instead...at the suggestion of another member I am going to put together a list of things to do, who to contact, etc. Now...those of us who have been here awhile realize that most of this info is all available on the main website, but we also know that it may be helpful and a bit easier to have a "one stop shop" for advice. Once posted, this will be a locked topic so no additions can be made by anyone other than a moderator or admin. Please send your most sage advice to me by PM...and realize that it will take awhile for me to cruise thru the pages of postings here to collect the names and info for "who to contact" type info. Be patient with me as I build this...k?

Thanks txbelle!
This will make it easier for new people to get the information they need immediately instead of waiting for someone to respond.
Good Move!!!!

Post subject:  First Stop

I would suggest http://scamvictimsunited.com/resources_cashier's_check.htm for someone's first stop.

I could always update the website if we come up with other places that should be added to this list.
