I'm not certain how I arrived at your site, but it looked interesting and I spent some time reading. Thank you for educating others about the various scams and for offering advice to those who have become victims.
I am a business owner (engineering) and one day in 1988 I received a letter from Nigeria, which looks similar to the one now being sent by email. I called my accountant and he had never heard of such a scam. I began to wonder why I received the letter at my office. I did perform some work in Benin, a country that borders Nigeria, back in 1983, but that was through a Norwegian company. I then called the FBI office in my city and it was new to them as well. Looking back, perhaps that was near the beginning of the scam.
In any event, I wasn't about to take part in something designed to fraudentually deprive someone of their money. Years later I learned that the person who was meant to be deprived was me.
