I wanted to reach out to all of the victims of a group of folks running around in Utah practically depriving people of their money that are not vastly experienced in the internet business. The company, or should I say companies, is the ones listed in the subject line (Momentum Marketing / Summit Group / Thrive Learning). They are all a company involved in running a business out of your home and have services in which I have never agreed to be part of nor have I ever spoke to anyone involved with any of these companies.

I first notcied the issue on my 2010 credit report on a loan I never signed, saw, or agreed to. I started to poke around and really wasnt able to get anywhere except speak to the people that were billing me. I finally had to go all the way up to the director of the billing company to even get the contact information for the actual company that I had supposedly been involved with. I was given a number for Momentum Marketing "also known as Summit Group". which first off made no sense, McDonalds isnt also known as the Burger place. So I attempted to contact this company, mind you for about 8 months. It always went to an answering machine with a message that said Erik is out of town and would be back during a certain month that was actually 6 months before the date I was calling. Most people update their away voice mails. Needless to say, after attempting this and leaving messages with no returned calls. I took it into my own hands and filled a BBB claim along with attorney General Statements in my state and Utah. Still I received no calls or replies from this company. I have consulted my lawyer at this point and after doing soe research on the "companies" I have realized that this is a big issue.

At this point I have figured that I will not only satisfy myself by getting back my money that was taken from me without my approval. But I am willing to organize a class action lawsuit to assist everyone that has had issues with these people to get their money back and get these guys off the streets. They dont deserve what they have.

If you are on board with this action please provide a valid e-mail address. Once I have atleast 10-20 e-mails I will send out a mass e-mail to get the rest organized

If you find a lawyer that would be willing to take on a class action case like this, I would suggest it would be safer for people to contact the lawyer directly, rather than working through you as a middle man.

I hate to say this, because you could be an honest person who means nothing but good for other victims, but people do come on to message boards and pretend to have good intentions and ask other victims to "send me your info" . . . then these people find that they are dealing with another scammer.

Again, I am not saying that is the case here, but I am saying that everyone needs to know who they are talking to before they start sending out informaiton to a person they came in contact with on a message board.

Completely understandable. Thanks for the feedback since I didnt see it from that point of view. I guess feedback from other individuals that would just be willing to participate would be sufficient. Thanks Shawn

Thank you for understanding. It is sad that 8+ years of talking online about scams online has caused me to "question" some people like this.

If people would like to just post a quick "I am interested" here on this thread, and once you feel you have enough you can contact a lawyer, and once a lawyer is on board it would be easier to find those people again since they would be connected to this thread.

I am still looking for volunteers. I have also found a lot of info about this group through research. there has already been a consumer attorney general settlement and a currently pending government action case for this company. They are also involved in a multitude of scams with stocks, work at home, website building etc. The names involved but not limited to are

Mars Hill Media LLC, Nathan S. MacDonald, Laura Cook, A J Resources, Andrew J. Nielson, Commack South LLC, Todd Edward MacDonald, J.C. Residual LLC, Christy Moody, Colton Moody, JRC Consulting, Jamie R. Cochran, New World Video LLC and Erik Largin.

Erik Largin and Colton Moody seem to be the brains behind it all. Im not going to stop with this until these people face the consequences.

I see that some of those posts were pretty old. I am actually about to go to an attorney myself. But the more information I give him or her, the less I have to pay per hour. so do you think I could also use the research that you found and give it to whichever attorney I find?

I got a call today from them about a job that I supposedly applied for. Should I be concerned about them stealing money from me by taking out loans and such like what happened to you? Because honestly now I'm all kinds of paranoid.

The guy I talked to when I was being scammed openly claimed to make $250,000 a month with his job. No hesitation to think of a traditional lie. So if it's a job offer and you don't mind dealing with people that take advantage of others and scam them, then you can look into it. I actually just went to the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint.. once they got involved they got rid of the amount that I owed them. That alone should sound fishy to you.
