hello I NEED HELP

Well a couple of months I applied for Mystery Shoppers and I received an email a couple of days ago letting me know I was selected. In the email it said I would receive a travelers check and that I was to cash it( they recomended Walmart) and then go to a Western Uninon or Money Gram and wire the money to someone and pretend they are a family member. They said that I should make observations and that it was part of my assignment. Well I just received the check for $4,500. They said it was a mistake but that I should keep $500 for my comission. I do not plan to cash this check because its got SCAM written all over it! What I WOULD like to do is inform myself on how I can REPORT it so that maybe they can catch these people.WHAT DO I DO!
