I got an email today that somehow made it through my spam blocker. It starts like a greeting from someone on a forum you have been following:
Hi everyone,

Hope that you\'re keeping warm. It seems like the fall has already begun to change into Winter here, in NYC it\'s so darn cold!

However, this little update should surely warm you up :)

The awesome news is that Work Junkies has launched!
It goes on to prompt you to look at their site which is, Tech-wise, very impressive. (http://www.workjunkies.com/)
The deal is you get $25 for every referral you sign but it costs you $50 to join. I looks like a never ending circle. eventually you will end up get messages from people several generations downline asking you to sign up under their name. Even if the company pays like they say they will, do we really want to contribute to the spam flow?
I didn't go far enough into thje site to see if anything is ever really done or sold but it looks like just an endless signup scheme to me.

Comments anyone?

This sounds similar to the dinner party scam that was featured on Oprah.
