I just got this message in my email . . . sad, since I LOVE Mickey Mouse and would have loved to go to Disney!

Well, in the letter my name was in all lower case letters, they said the trip was to Disney and ANYTHING for Disney will always say "Walt Disney World" or "Disneyland" and I googled the name of the travel agent and company and found other posts on scams. Then, when I tried to go to the site listed in the email, it was not a legit site.

As a Disney fan, I see the mistakes in their email from the way a TRUE Disney post/email/message would look . . . afraid to point all of them out since I am sure that there scammers who read our site. I don't want to show them their mistakes so that they can fix them.

Yep, deezeenet3.com is a free web hosting site unfortunately filled with scammers that use its servers to send out spam. These scammers are a little bit more clever than usual because they have obtained lists with real names to attach to emails. These lists were poached from hacked credit card accounts, facebook breaches, junk email lists, etc... The best thing to do if you get an enticing email like the Disney winner scam, is DO NOT CLICK ON ANY LINK. Hold the mouse pointer over it and look at the bottom of the page window. A link should show up giving you a clue to where the link will take you if you actually click on it. On the upper parts of your explorer window, open a new window and Google that link. So I typed in deezeenet3. com aqnd several complaints came up. This works with any suspicious emails and will keep you from getting scammed or worse, getting a virus on your computer.

This came up in a google search, so I thought it worth registering to say that I just received a phone call in the exact same vein as this email scheme. Local number (for me) 647-495-8901. 'Linda' (forgot her employee #) spoke of the vacation because of my registering (which I have not done). She had my name, phone number and address. She wanted me to confirm my email address so she could email me confirmation - to which I told her that she could simply tell me my email address if I did register. She refused for security reasons. She then spoke of how I have a VISA starting with the digit 4 - all VISAs start with a 4 was my response and she requested the expiry to my credit card.

Either way. 10 minute phone call that wanted to sell me a vacation worth over $3,000 that only required a payment of some $300 per adult.

I also found it amusing that halfway through the call when I announced my concern is when she mentioned that this phone call is being recorded.

Thanks for the amusement.
