So today I got an email from some auction site called bidz.com congratulating me on winning a auction. I checked them out online and they sound like bad news. Anyway, here's the email:

Dear iwantsome123,

You are the WINNER of a Bidz.com Auction!

Listing Description:
Darling Earrings With Genuine Garnets in Solid Yellow Gold

I've never heard of these guys, and certainly never signed up. My question is, did someone get ahold of my CC info, or is this a marketing ploy?

Bidz.com is a legitimate online auction site. I would contact them and let them know about this so that if an auction was indeed bid on using your credit card, they'll put a flag on the account and close it so that it can no longer be used. I would also call your credit card companies to activate a flaud alert. They will most likely recommend that you cancel your cards and send you new ones.
