Hi,

I just discovered someone was fired from my company for stealing other employees' pay stubs.

The only information on the stub is employee address, employer name and address, pay amounts and deductions. There is no social security info.

What could someone do with this information?

Steve

They could use them to try and get loans or to use at small time car sales lots and places like that. I totally agree that they should have been fired for that. :!:

But, assuming my stub was one of the ones taken, should I personally be worried?

Some people are stupid, without the SS# all they received was public information, nothing real confidential, except your take home pay. He got fired for nothing

Like armac said, it's mostly public information. Even attemping a loan etc, they would have to have other ID's as well. I'm thinking they wont do anything either so you should be ok.
