I recently received what I considered "junk" mail via snailmail - it had a addressee name on it that I did not recognize from anyone in the neighborhood. I contacted the company it came from (a credit card company but don't remember which one now) and demanded to know how this name got attached to my address since I had lived at this address for twenty years and before that this was an emply lot which DID NOT have a REAL ADDRESS with the post office! I ended up being advised to contact the three major credit reporting companies to post a fraud alert, which I did. Has anyone else had this happen to them? |
