Here is a good article about fake bank websites. This particular scam is used in conjunction with the classic Nigerian 419 scams, and appears to primarily target past victims or near-victims.

I like the changes you made to the scammer's bank website.

I have been wondering (after seeing the movie "The Core") if a talented computer person could help us out by creatively changing websites, as you did.

Let me know if you would like any other "projects" to work on.

The scammers have the ability to make secure sites but use 'off the shelf' web authoring tools like front page etc.. REAL banks use high $$$ custom software with 128 bit SSL security. I am an honest guy and only play with the scam operators. I have many other fake banks under my control at the moment, and actively warn the probable victims, but you would be amazed at how many victims actually believe the scammers over my warnings and proceed to be scammed.

On the bank I mentioned all accounts have 3 to 20 million fake dollars in them! Real secure web page isnt it?

the first part of my question was in the subject, but i hadn't realised how unnoticeable that is. magnum's address is "http:" but real secure sites like paypal and banks are "https:" so my real question was, are the fake banks able to ever get that "s" in their url? that's how i determine whether or not i'm going to fill in that kind of personal info.

thanks for all you do. no, i find it hard to believe people are that stupid. but then, i wouldn't have believed i could fall for mine the way i did if i had heard someone else tell the story. i would have thought they were idiots. i've learned to drop my judgemental ideas recently! if i truly can stop being judgemental, then that's one more way i've turned poison into medicine through this nightmare!

would you check out my web page and email me a list of fake bank sites so i can put the list on my site? i would appreciate that. depending on the search, i get a pretty good rating in google.

Rainwoman:
Can you explain more on the Midnight Law? I tried to read the link from your sight and it showed the page is no longer available? I was scammed & went to my bank asked them if it was good and they said yes and handed me cash, the same day!! They did not even think twice about even holding it for 24 hours.... she just said it was good and then complined that I was cashing a check for that much on a Saturday! It's all so very frustrating.......
