I was selling my jewelry on ebay. This guy named Daniel Pavoni username polycompras inquired on the set & asked if we could use a safer site called safe-wayonline. Me being new to the web I agreed not knowing that he created the website & he scammed me for $25,000 worth of jewelry. After I came to realization that it was a scam, I filed a claim with ic3 but the next day he had hacked into my email, which contained the same username & password, & deleted all evidence of our conversation. I have a condition that I have to pay $15,000 for operation to fix that that money was going to be used for but now I have no hope. If there is anyone that can help me please contact me. I have ideas that will make the money back I just cant do them without my health. For more info please contact me.

Hi there,

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS WEBSITE OR ANYONE ASSOCIATED WITH THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THEY ARE LYING THEIVES AND SHOULD BE HUNG UP AND SHOT.

I am selling my Rolex on Ebay and I got contact from a supposed Ebayer looking to buy the watch.

It all seemed fine until heasked me to send him an email to his private address, he then proceeded to make me an offer on the watch, and asked me to deal through safe-wayonline. I Googled this and thanks to you guys I have probably saved myself a lot of money.
Below is the content of the email and his details, he is based in Spain and is a cheap scate scammer. I would love to get my hands on the bastard, here is his email BELOW. I wont post my reply as there are too many expletives and I really went ot town on the scumbag. Needless to say I have had no response.......

Hi THERE,

I will give you 7,800Euros and you will pay the shipping through FedEx. Because of the high amount of money i will prefer using an escrow service. I will cover the fees of the escrow.
The escrow company i want to use is http://www.safe-wayonline.com ,please read their terms and condition and if you are agree with them please register and let me know the email address you use for registration in order for me to initiate the transaction.

Best regards,
Chris Davon

I am currently selling a Rolex watch on ebay and I had this guy try to scam me, he is using the ID "traderings2008" and signed his emails as "Hank", he started off by asking some simple questions about the watch, such as would I ship to Spain, is the watch damaged. He then suggested using an escrow service as the cost is likely to be upwards of £1,500, I had never heard of escrow so I checked it out and it seemed fine so I agreed that as long as he would pick up any associated costs then I was happy with escrow. He then suggested using http://www.safe-wayonline.com, I was first alerted because McAfee security flashed up a "phishing warning", I then found a site which explains fake escrow services and how they work http://www.safefromscams.co.uk/EBayEscrowScams.html. Thankfully I checked this out and also found this website, I have since sent him an email explaining expletively why I will not be doing any business with him. I just hope other people are as lucky as I am and find out his scam before parting with any goods.

I unfortunately was scammed by these people! I was auctioning off my engagement ring on ebay and received several emails from people but this guy, Jim Benson, username botrock22, email jmcenson6@gmail.com, was very persistent and seemed like he was genuine. he asked me several questions about the ring and was interested in it. I was diagnosed with a terminal illness and with three kids, i did what i had to do for them and to pay the bills. Well, here is a copy of the email he sent me:

Hi,

I will give you $12,000 and I will pay the shipping through FedEx. I just checked and the shipping cost is: $155.
You don't need to insure the ring because I will insure the ring to the escrow company at the real value of $12,000 so you don't need to insure the ring to FedEx any more.

Best regards,
Jim

another email read:

Please check your escrow account because the money are there.

Please ship the package to this address:

Jim Benson

Calle Pizarro N 37 Edificio Macarena Planta 11D
City: San Pedro De Alcantara(Malaga)
Zip code: 29670
Country: Spain
Phone number: 666986930

Please do not declare the real value at FedEx because i don't want to pay any money to the custom. My country custom fees are 17% and i cant afford to pay extra. Please declare it at a value of 20$ and on ITEM DESCRIPTION you can put JWELRY SAMPLE. Because we already use an escrow service witch ensure the package during the shipping you'll don't need to declare the real value at FedEx and I will avoid paying the custom fees. I do that in the past and worked so don't worry .
After the package was sent, please send me the tracking number and of course put it on the status of the transaction.

Best regards and have a nice day,
Jim

we emailed each other back and forth. that was the first time i sold anything on ebay so i was inexperienced and didnt know what i was doing. I suggested paypal but he never responded. I then emailed him, desperate for money saying we could use the escrow. once i saw jim sent the money, i sent the ring through fedex, never to see my ring or to hear from him or safeway again. i am so upset about the whole thing but what do i do? we all know these people will never be caught. the only thing we can do is deface their names and safe-way online. spread the word!!!!

To understand why it is disgusting that internet users have become victims to this scam, see http://www.badwhois.info/wp/?p=256

In fact both the ICANN and Xin Net were made aware that safe-wayonline.com is a scam and it has bogus whois data.

While the first is outside the gambit of the registrar and ICANN (unless Xin Net chooses to do something about it based on violations of their AUP), the fake domain registration is the responsibility of the registrar Xin Net and ultimately ICANN.

Yet this is just one of many similar domains!
