I recently had a deal with a french company who preferred to use Fan Courier express as they act also like an escrow company and I will not have to pay until I inspect the goods.

They had a website and I was even given a tracking #. I found their contact address however they had no phone number. They were located in LA. When I called international directory they said that there was no listing for this company.

Is this a scam ?

Hello!

I have just encountered the same issue. I paid them 300.00 and they stopped replying back to my emails. I should've researched it before I sent the money. You can file a complaint at http://www.recol.ca.

The guy I was talking to stated that he was in Vancouver, BC but the money went to Italy. The guy provided me with the wrong address coz it was picked up at a different western union location.

I'm so mad at myself for not researching it first. I called the phone # today and the # on their web site is just a fax dial tone.

FYI - Western Union doesn't need the sellers address. As long as you give them the country and the guy's name, the guy can then pick it up at any western union location (if he's expecting money).
