So I received an email stating that there was mystery shopping available in my area. They asked for my address, cell and full name. No SS # was given, no bank account info, etc..
I just received a text message stating that they had confirm that my package was delivered to me and to let them know either via email or text that I received it after I got home from work. I asked a couple of questions, like how the funds were being delivered and I was told that there was $200 and they were money orders to complete my assignment. I was to visit Wal-Mart and any Western Union. Before I get into this, is this a scam? I was contacted by Mystery Shopper Network by Robert Luizzi is the Evaluator Consultant. My issue is that when i tried to call his # it did not say anything about Mystery Shopper Network just a generic vm, and the email address does not reference the company.. I am a single mom trying to make extra money, but dont want to get scammed.
Thank you- Becky

Yes, it is a scam. When you get the money orders just shred them. Do not responde to any emails or text messages. Do you still have the phone number? If so, it would help to post them and the name of the person. This way if someone receives anything from the person and does a Google search then this site will come up as a warning to them. Best of luck.
