Cashed a check for a supposed 'friend' who later claimed that he never signed it.
I filed a police report.
Thinking back at the time, John was in the passenger seat of my Kia at the ATM. He signed the check - but - as I went to the ATM - John was leaning up against the wall around the corner. At the time I thought that was strange because it's Arizona and it was hot & sunny - yet he would not wait under the awning where it's cooler.

So that means that he was planning to rip me off at the time I was extending a helping handing to him.

I only hope that there is more than one camera around the ATM that would show video proof that he did in fact sign it and go to prison for check fraud.

I am out $160 because I cashed a check for John Lopez of Sierrra Vista AZ and he claimed he never signed it!

I feel so stupid in the situation.

Did you see him sign it? Can you file a police report on this issue?
