My scam was in 2005. I noticed that the transfer fees paid were $155 each for the two "employees" of my scammer. This was backed up by a fraudulent check (Guertin Bros Paint - Winnipeg, MB - altered to my name as payee). I am going to write to Western Union and see if they will refund $310 to me, since I had to pay this amount to SunTrust Bank due to fraud. Has anyone else asked for the fees returned on money that was wired out by Western Union? I wondered what the response will be. Their on line "contact us" form is not easy to use.

I sent a lot of monies to my scammer from last fall to January of this year. Even if I show the receipts, I am out of luck getting my monies back. I know you do not want to hear this, and I am angry too. Also, if you misplace the receipts and need new copies, WU charges you a fee.. That is what was told to me.
