How do i know if a travlers cheque is fake i called the company they said they could tell me over the phone if it was fake or not WHY NOT .My husband sold an item on ebay and after someone sent me fake money orders i dont trust nobody. I see the water mark on the cheque but im still leary its a visa travlers cheque |

How much is the check for? I believe that the largest travelers check you can get is $100, so if it is for more than that, it is fake. |

Under no circumstances should you accept traveller's checks sent my mail. Take it (them) to an agency, tell them that you are suspicious of them and see what they have to say. If they have sent more in check value than the price of your item on Ebay its almost 100% certainty that its a con. Whatever you do, do not try and bank them and send money on to somebody else. The company probably couldn't say if its fake over the phone as the numbers could be right as they are copied from real checks. |
