Tonight I received an e mail supposedly from The Nigerian Cyber crime Commission - They claim to be affiliated with http://www.ic3.gov and http://www.efccnigeria.org. The Internet Crime Commission claims to be connected with the FBI. Did anyone else on the board receive this e mail.If you PM an e mail address to me, I will forward the message to you - as most of you are more computer savy than I am. They promise to investigate the Nigerian internet crimes and scams. I would like to respond but wonder if this is legititmate or if this is the "second scam" that many victims expreience. Thanks all!

Marigold,
It is a second scam where they claim to help you get your money back and then ask for fees. You can see these emails at http://www.419eater.com or http://www.scampatrol.com do a search for these on either site to see the other ways they do second scams it is usually the same person who scammed you trying for a second round.

I HATE it when I see people getting these emails! Talk about kicking a person when they are down!

There is no way to get the money back . . . If there was we would have it posted in large blinking letters on every page of our site! Yes, some people come to settlements with the banks and do not have to pay back the entire ammount lost, but with that you are dealing with people who you can see.

These scammers feed off the fact that they know that people have lost large amounts of money and that they will do just about anything to try and "fix" that, so they throw you a line about how they can help fix your situation, then they tell you that there are fees (lust as there would be if you got a lawyer) in order to get the money back. It is really sick.
